Citizen Schools for the second semester will be under an application process and is no longer mandatory. Parents will have to fill out the form if they wish their students to either stay or be removed from the program. Parents, please fill out the form and have your student return it to his/her teacher ASAP!

We are proud to offer our extended learning day to sixth
graders. The program focuses on core class support, homework
help, college/career explorations, and real world apprenticeships which
teach our students the skills they will need to be successful in the
21st century. Citizen Schools extended learning day began on
September 6th. Please contact Mr. Spottswood for

**Neal Middle School is proud to announce that through a grant from VH1 and the Dale Jr. Foundation we will be offering a band program. August 30th 11 a.m. representatives from VH1, the Earnhardt Foundation, and DPS were at Neal Middle School to present the grant, and the instruments to our school.
